On the night shift

19:35

Where I work we are having a huge refit at the moment so my shifts have all gone a bit topsy turvy recently, not that I mind because I like to mix things up a bit, I usually do 7am to 4pm most days, however, today I am doing an overnight shift from 5pm to 8am.

Since that's an extra long shift I have decided I might need to bring some supplies, so this post is just to show you what I have decided to bring with me to work later on.

I decided to bring my Ted Baker wash bag with me because 1. She hasn't been on an outing yet and she is gorgeous and 2. All this stuff won't fit into my regular daily make up bag. Also I'm bringing my Olbas oil, because I always get most congested at night time and there is going to be piles and piles of dust so I need to be able to breath.

This may seem a little extravagant but this is a 15 hour shift and my make up generally lasts for around 6 hours so I'm pretty sure I'm going to start looking pretty disgusting by midnight, so I have decided on one of my breaks I'll just take everything off and reapply it (its more hygienic than just touching it up too). So I have packed my Natura wipes because they are going to be the quickest and most refreshing way to clean all my make up off, and my Body Shop Vitamin E moisture spray again because its quick and refreshing.

Secondly, I don't want to start smelling, so I put my Nivea Pearl & Beauty deodorant in there and my Narciso Rodriguez spray too because its nice and fresh and ladylike. Also I know my hair is going to start getting nasty so I'm also taking my Umberto Giannini Dry Shampoo because it smells great too so it's like a 2in1, my hair will look and smell clean.

I'm taking my Elf Stipple Brush because it works really well for all three of these products, I'm taking the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid because it has a slight glow and good coverage so it will help keep me looking awake, my Topshop Cream Blusher in Afternoon Tea because it gives a natural flushed look and my MAC Pro Longwear concealer because my dark circles are going to be awful.

I'm bringing my Real Techniques Powder Brush and Setting Brush (for underneath my eyes) to set my face with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

For lips I think hydration is going to be the priority so I put my Lanolips 101 Ointment in and one of the Revlon Lip Butters (I am still trying to love these so I thought tonight would be a good time for it to prove itself). For my eyes I am bringing a MAC Paint Pot in Painterly to cover all the dark pigments on my eyelids and keep me looking awake, the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara and I am going to use my Benefit Browzings to do my brows as I think it definitely has more staying power than my pencil.

I know it sounded like a lot of stuff but it all fits in the bag, with room to spare, so don't think I'm crazy. Please?

I just thought I'd show you what else I'm taking to keep me entertained on my breaks.

My iPad so I can catch up with Youtube and Bloglovin.

My iPhone charger because we all know there's no way that's gonna last for 13 hours! And my notebook/diary and pen for notes and scribbles.

Lastly my Elle magazine because I still haven't finished it.

Wish me luck.
