Favourite concealers, the update

I have done I post on my favourite concealers before but I thought it was time for an update, there are some that have stayed the same as last time but there are also a few newcomers too, hope you enjoy it.

Collection Lasting Perfection (£4.19)

This is almost an exact dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, it's very full coverage, it's long wearing, super creamy and blendable and so cheap too.

Clarins Instant Concealer (£21.50/ 15ml)

This is a new one on the list, this is a medium to full coverage concealer which is great for around the eye area as it has brightening properties but it's also nice to use sparingly all over the face instead of foundation. It dries into the skin but leaves a dewy fresh look.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (£26)

This is a solid concealer but it is very creamy, these come with two shades so that you can mix them to get your perfect shade, I tend to use the more pink/ orange shade under my eyes and the more neutral shad for blemishes, this is full coverage and great for pin point concealing.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (£22/ 6ml)

This is another new addition to the list, this is probably my favourite high end concealer, maybe tied with the Mac Pro Longwear, this is creamy and full coverage which is great for under eyes and blemishes, easy to apply and easy to blend, lasts for ages and doesn't crease.

Mac Pro Lonwear (£17/ 9ml)

This has such a thin consistency , highly pigmented, set very fast and leaves a slightly tacky finish so it does need setting with a powder. My other high end favourite, so great for under the eyes, very brightening but not heavy and doesn't crease. Super high coverage and a little goes a long way.

Bodyshop Concealer Pencil (£9/ 3.9g)

This is basically a chubby stick concealer, this is a dry pencil form, it's creamy but not wet at all and dries to a kind of matte powder finish. This has medium coverage and is great for touch ups.

L'oreal Lumi Magique Concealer (£8.99)

This is a touché éclat style highlighter concealer hybrid, this is a very thin light consistency which adds coverage as well as highlighting the area, light to medium coverage.

Maybelline The Eraser Eye (£7.99/ 6.8ml)

This is another newby, this has a twist up top with an attached sponge for application, this is a lovely consistency with such amazing coverage, it works great for under eye dark circles but I use this all over, this is a definite drugstore favourite.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (£5.99)

This is very similar to the Nars one but just not as much coverage, this is a great drugstore concealer though, really great coverage and long lasting too.

March Favourites

burberry brow Definer

1. Loreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation

I have done a full review of this, I've been loving it all month, great coverage, great lasting power and a matte finish which still lets a glow through.

2. Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

I've been loving this for a few months now, it's just great coverage, I love it for under eyes but I covers blemishes aswell. I love that it's such a thin texture.

3. Mac Mineralise Skin Finish Natural

I've been using this every day this month, I love that it's lightweight but still sets everything in place and it lets the natural skin show through somehow.

4. Jouer Anti Blemish Matte Primer

I don't think this has any amazing anti blemish properties however it does seriously help with keeping the shine at bay and I've been using it with the new Loreal Foundation all month and they work really well together.

5. Mac Fleshpot Lipstick

Slowly taking the place from my Creme Cup as my favourite Mac Lipstick, this is such a perfect matte nude, I love it for ombre lips, I love it by itself, it looks great with bronzer, I can't say enough good stuff about it.

6. Charlotte Tilbury Lipcheat in Pillow Talk + Tom Ford Nude Vanille Lipstick

The lip combo of the month, Pillow Talk all around the lip and filled in leaving just the very centre bare and then filling that in with Nude Vanille.

7. Burberry Eyebrow Definer in Sepia

I really didn't like this when I first tried it, it seemed to just take a bit too long and I much preferred the Hourglass version, sadly my Hourglass Arch has since run out and I had no choice but to learn to love this, I have a slightly new brow routine which is a lot quicker and this seems to work really well for me now, it could do with a bit more pigment but I'm using it every day at the moment anyway.

8. Zara Black Perfume

I first bought the roller ball version of this but that wasn't enough, I fell in love with it so I had to buy the spray version too. I cannot describe the scent but all Zara scents are great.

My Current Face Of The Day

Bourjois bronzing primer

Recently I have found myself reaching for the same products on a day to day basis so I thought I'd share them with you guys and give you a few of my thoughts.

Firstly a perfume, Fruity by Zara which really reminds me of a more zesty version of Amor Amor by Cacharel which is and old favourite, love this for summer and it's great for the money.

Secondly the Setting brush by Real Techniques, I love that this cleanse to well and dries so quickly, it makes it perfect for everyday use. I use this to blend in my concealer and also for powder to set everything. Such a great dual purpose brush.

My Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Duo #4, a sculpting and highlighting cream set, I have been using the highlight cream religiously and I have actually done a full review of this product.

Tom Ford lipstick in Nude Vanille, I am so glad I caved and finally bought one of these pretty little babies, I love nude lips they are my favourite and I have really been getting my money's worth the out of this one. I have also been using my Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Sultry Sand underneath nude glosses.

The Revlon Colorstay Foundation, this was a fluke discovery for me, I had seen it in boots a million times and never really thought anything of it until I watched an acne cover up tutorial on youtube and the girl used this. Naturally I had to test it myself then and I love it, needs a pump though.

Mac Pro Longwear concealer, this kind of took a back seat once Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer came into my life but I have been appreciating it again recently, it is so perfect in every way, I will always have one of these in my stocks.

Topshop Cream Blusher in the shade Head Over Heels a soft apricot colour, if you have been reading a while you will know I love the Afternoon Tea shade, the formula is great for the price and I'm glad I picked up another colour.

Bourjois Bronzing Primer, only one word for this. Amazing. I use this every single day without fail I can't live without it, it's so natural and easy to apply and blend.

Lastly Sudocrem, I have been using this on my blemishes and mainly on my eczema over the last month and it's been working wonders, definitely a holy grail drugstore product.

January Favourites

benefit dandelion

This is my first monthly favourites post woooohoo! Although I am ashamed to say that you will recognise a fair few of these products since I've been raving about them already. I have picked 11 favourites that I've been using the most this month and I have split them into Make Up and Skincare & Miscellaneous.

Skincare & Miscellaneous

1. Body Shop Pink Grapefruit hand sanitizer, because of our refit at work everything is hugely dusty and dirty and I've been using the hand sanitisers like crazy, I love this one as it smells so fresh it's like you have literally just washed your hands, a little bit drying so I always have to moisturise straight after.

2. Nivea Caramel Cream Lip Butter, winter kills my lips so I have been leaving this by my bed at all times to smother on at night time, really thick and long lasting as it smells lovely and sweet.

3. Grease Lightening by Lush, I have done a whole review post on this because it is so amazing, literally gets rid of spots in a few days and shrinks them in just a few hours.

4. MAC Brush Cleanser, I went a little crazy for this when I first got it and was cleaning my brushes everyday because its so amazing, I have since told myself that I'm only allowed to clean them once a week, it's such a great product, quick results and makes brushes squeaky clean.

5. Garnier Micellar Water, have used this every single day since I got it, I wanted something a bit lighter to take off the day with and this is perfect, not drying in the slightest, you don't need a lot, huge bottle for only £4.99, I've been loving this a lot, it just feels fresher than using a cream to remove make up.

6. Real Techniques Setting Brush, this brush has so many uses, I use this daily for at least two different things, I want to grab another one so its a bit easier. I can use this for blending concealer, for applying eyeshadow, for setting my under eye concealer, for highlighting with my powder highlighters and for contouring with my bronzer. I love it.

Make Up

1. Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara, I am planning to post about this at some point because I think it's really good, the wand is huge and made from bristles rather than plastic, it's defines lashes and adds volume, it's quite thick so it does clump a bit but I just keep brushing them until they're gone.

2. Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, now this is a bit controversial because I actually have done a blogpost explaining that I didn't seem to get on with this foundation, but since then I have been giving it a go more often, I have worn it every day this week and I have to say its not as bad as I thought. It definitely does keep me matte and the coverage lasts a long time and if I use the right amount (not too much because its super thick) its pretty easy to blend to a nice finish, the only problem is I find it hard to layer other liquid products with it.

3. Cream Puff by Collection, this is a matte lipgloss if that's not too much of an oxymoron, it's a natural rosy pink colour and I think it looks so nice for winter, it's lived in my bag a lot.

4. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, just great stuff, great coverage, nice thin consistency but highly pigmented, I've been using it under my eyes and on any redness on my nose and chin, it's moisturising too so it's great for covering spots and blemishes.

5. Dandelion Blush by Benefit, my all time absolute favourite blusher, ever, and sadly my big box has ran out, again, so I am actually using this little quad that I've had for ages (as you can see) but I need to get a new one soon. It's a matte finish but in the pan it has the teeeeeeeeniest of shimmers which are invisible once it's one, its a very light natural pink and it goes with skin tone so well, I love it all year round and it actually smells pretty nice too.
