The Glueless Scr4pbook.

I have a few things on my current wish list, not a lot so I thought I would make a little post about them, I always have a huge list of products I want to try but this is a collection of those at the top of the list, either re-purchases or the products that have been on the list for the longest time.

Caudalie Grape Water £6

Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser £33

Pixi Glow Peel Pads £24

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Sugar £19

Pixi Make Up Melting Cloths £10

Burberry Earthy Blush £29

L'occitane Amande Shower Oil £18

What's on your current wish list?

I have been double cleansing now for well over a year (ever since I realised how badly I had been treating my skin) and I have kind of got a set routine now, one for 'wet' (in the bath or shower) and one for 'dry' (at my desk when I don't want to get soaked by splashing water everywhere), I do switch up the products but these are highly unlikely to change any time soon so I wanted to share my current double cleanse routine.

Wet

Firstly I smother my face in the Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil which removes every last scrap of make up (yes, even eye makeup) I love it because it is so gentle and yet still works so well, the smell is really relaxing too. Next I splash all the oil off my face, I used to use a muslin cloth but since using the Aesop Tea Tree exfoliator and my Konjac sponge I don't really feel the need for extra exfoliation, I then use one pump of the Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser which gets rid of any remaining oil and anything else my skin seems to be hoarding.

Every other time I either use the Aesop cleanser on my Konjac sponge to exfoliate or I will use half a pump of cleanser and my Aesop Tea Tree Leaf exfoliant after cleansing.

Dry

This is mainly what I do first thing in the morning or if I come in late at night. I remove all my make up with the Simple Micellar Water on a couple of large cotton pads, usually one for the face and one for the eyes, I then go in with a cream cleanser (my favourite being the Ren Rosa Centifolia one) again on a few cotton pads, which removes any left over make up and just generally cleanses my natural skin.

Often I will use some kind of toner after my 'dry' cleanse just to remove any cleanser left and to help close my pores, I love the Lush Tea Tree Water for this.

Do you have any double cleanse recommendations?

Aesop Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant (£27/ 30g). Aesop Amazing Face Cleanser (£21/ 100ml).

I recently treated myself to this set of Aesop goodies, I had been wanting them for a while and I finally decided to take the plunge, they are not the cheapest skincare products on the planet so I was feeling a bit guilty until I tried them properly; I have tried the Tea Tree Leaf Exfoliant before from a few different testers and that is actually what lead me to buy the full size, I didn't go in blind, I havn't tried this particular cleanser before, I actually had a couple of samples of the Parsley Seed one which were great but after hearing so many good reports about the Amazing and Fabulous cleansers I decided to go for one of them instead. The sales assistant told me the Amazing was better for an oily/ blemish prone skin type so I went with that one.

The cleanser contains mandarin rind, ylang ylang and lavender stem and says it is a "concentrated low-foaming formula to remove grime and oiliness." It has a lemony herbal scent like most of their products which is really refreshing for a cleanser. I am in love with this cleanser, I think I can quite happily say that it's the best one I have ever used and it was totally worth the money. I use one pump (it comes in a screw top bottle but they provide a seperate pump with it) which is plenty and gives my face a good thorough clean without drying it out or leaving that stiff feeling.

The exfoliant contains aloe vera, walnut shell and of course tea tree leaf, this is "An exfoliating blend of ground botanicals designed to be mixed with your preferred Aesop face cleanser." So it is small grains of tea tree leaf which are loose in a pot for you to then mix with whichever cleanser you prefer, for this I use half a pump of the cleanser and a sprinkling of the exfoliant the same size as the cleanser, mix together between my fingertips and rub into my face concentrating on the most congested areas (nose, chin and inner cheeks) and then just splash it all off with warm water. They advise you to use this 2 times a week, I use it 2-3 times a week because my skin is quite resiliant. my skin has never felt softer of smoother I kid you not, not drying or stripping at all, it's amazing, and the two together are great.

They lso do an exfoliating paste which I am interested to try and I think I will pick up the Parsley seed cleanser and mask next time too. Have you tried any of these?

I recently got a little bonus from work so I decided to pick up a few bits that were on my wanted list.

So, I decided to buy the Chanel Les Bieges Powder finally, I was debating between this and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder but I decided to go for this for now and maybe I might be cheeky next month and pick up the Hourglass one. I picked up the new Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer too because my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer was running seriously low so I thought I would get that instead of repurchasing but then Space NK had their £10 off offer so I thought I should do my repurchases any way so I ordered another Nars concealer and another Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment because that has also just finished. Lastly I went to Aesop and picked up the Amazing Face Cleanser and the Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant which I'm so happy about because I have wanted them for so long. I also picked up the Chanel Nail Polish Remover because I haven't had it for ages and I love it, and the new Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette but I forgot to put them in the photo. I will be reviewing all of these products so keep your eyes peeled.
