The Glueless Scr4pbook.

I have written about the Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Duo #4 (the highlighting and sculpting duo) but I have yet to speak about this little gem so I thought I'd get a little review up for you guys.

There are 3 shade choices for these duos and then there is the Highlight/Sculpt shade, I chose the more Pink one #2 Pravella/Janelle but there was also a more peachy choice and a darker plum shade.

They retail at anywhere from £19-£26 depending on where you buy them (the cheapest place is Space NK) and you get 4.5g of product. The duo is split kind of 30/70, the smaller section supposedly being the one that is used least? I am pretty sure these are designed only for the face but I have found they can definitely be used on the lips too, they are creamy soft and easy to blend, they do dry to almost a powder finish but with a hint of healthy glow shining through. These little creams are very highly pigmented so the fact that you get so little shouldn't really matter as they will last a long time, the tiny packaging also makes them great for travelling.

I love these little compacts they are so handy, this one stay in my bag at all times, I hope they might release more shade options in the future.

Above: the larger pan (salmon shade) on my cheeks and the smaller pan (candy pink shade) on my lips

Since the season has changed, my bag and its contents has also changed so. Thought I'd do an updated whats in my bag.

The bag itself is the same as last time, the Mini City Bag £39.99 from Zara, but in black this time, I love this bag, it's so small but so bit at the same time, a true Mary Poppins bag with so many compartments. It can be worn in the nook of the arm, over the shoulder with the extra strap or just carried in your hand, it really remind me of the mini Celine bag. It is also available in white, blue and a blush pink shade.

So I have my mini note book from Asda, pink Parker pen, my work keys, my favourite lipstick Tom Ford Nude Vanille, a mini Percy & Reed Dry Shampoo for those emergencies, a tinted Lanolips Lipbalm, mini Punk Bouquet hand cream from & Other Stories, a spare hairband and grips, a little pot of paracetamol, some vanilla hand wipes from H&M, a mini Avene thermal water spray and a muji spray bottle filled with the Punk Bouquet body mist from & Other Stories.

I also have my travel make up bag from Superdrug (the contents of which can be found in a seperate post coming up soon), a small pot of Lanacane for my eczema, my iPhone (not pictured) and head phones, Aesop hand sanitizer, a Zara roll on perfume in Black Peony, my purse, Percy & Reed Wonder Balm, my sunglasses and my car keys (not pictured).

Hope you enjoyed peeking into my bag, whats in yours?

Sorry to be a bore, but it's yet another haul for you guys I was in Boots the other week and I couldn't help myself...

My shampoo/conditioner were running out so I thought I'd try another from the Garnier Ultimate Blends range, I went for the Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter as it is for dry frizzy hair and even though my hair isn't in terrible condition the ends are still a bit naff looking.

I also picked up the Garnier Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub after Amelia mentioned it on her channel recently and my Neutrogena had run out.

Apparently I actually went a bit garnier crazy (I do love their products though) and also bought the Intensive 7 days Soothing Gel Cream in Peach which smells gorgeous!!

I wanted to pick up a new self tanner and I was actually after the one that Vivianna talks about so often because I am also pale but I couldn't find it and ended up with the Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan in Medium/Matte, it says it is water resistant and transfer resistant so I'll report back on that.

I had to repurchase the super value for money Garnier (seriously, obviously the garnier stands were looking attractive) Micellar water since I ran out a while ago and I do love it.

Unfortunately I was a bit ill so I had to grab the necessities Buttercup Cough Syrup and Covonia Lozengers.

Soap & Glory had their new crayon form concealer on offer so (since my favourite item to buy and try and obsess over is concealer) I picked that up too, I love their Kick Ass Concealer so I have high hopes.

Maxfactor had a nice display too and I'm pretty sure these nude glosses are new, I picked one up in a my lips but better soft pink shade, love the packaging, very chic and it smells nice too.

Is there anything I should be buying next time I head to Boots?

At the beginning, I wasn't really keen on any of the Topshop cosmetics, I felt like they were just a bit on the side and weren't properly put together, but then I discovered their Blush, the first shade I owned was Afternoon Tea which is a gorgeous peachy pink shade which I actually ordered without knowing it was a cream blush (it is worth noting that they are called 'blush' not 'cream blush' so be careful when picking/ ordering online).

Anyway recently I picked up a new shade 'Head Over Heels' which is this beautiful bright orange, don't be alarmed its not nearly as scary in real life, it's a cream to powder formula like the other one which, being an oily girl I love, it means its super easy to blend but doesn't make me look like a greaseball. They have around 6-8 shades and they all blend really nicely so I'm going to have to get my hands on some more soon. I really recommend these as they are really pigmented and long wearing for the price. What do you guys think of the range?

We all know winter seems to take its toll on our skin, well weather in general really has an effect on our skin, I don't really find there to be much of a transitional period for my skin however because I moisturise really well all year round, it's just something I've trained myself to do, I know some people find it a chore and boring but strangely enough I find it somewhat satisfying lol, anyway, an area of my body that does get stressed out by the weather is my LIPS but luckily for me I have found the cure...

The cure is Popcorn Lip Scrub by Lush, followed by Caramel Cream Lip Butter by Nivea.

The Lush Lip Scrubs are something I have used for while, usually only sporadically to be honest, I have the Bubblegum one which is gorgeous and exactly like bubblegum, I recently also purchased this Popcorn flavoured one, I was never really interested in it even though the rest of the world seemed obsessed, I was quite content with my Bubblegum version but I was in there testing some bits and I smelt it and immediately realised why everyone was obsessed. It doesn't actually smell like popcorn, it just smells like vanillary, caramelly goodness. The idea with these is that you get a small bit, scrub it over your lips and lick off the excess (it is basically just flavoured sugar so it's perfectly safe), they contain natural coconut oil so they are moisturising and your lips don't feel dry or damaged after which is great, the only problem with this flavour is that it's actually very buttery so I cannot lick it off because I don't like butter, 9 times out of 10 I wipe the sugar off with a face wipe anyway. This stage leaves my lips new, fresh, plump looking and smooth.

I then use my Caramel Cream Lip Butter, the smell is more or less the same as the scrub so they compliment each other really well. I love this lip butter it's so thick and creamy, I usually leave it next to my bed and use it before bed, when I wake up I can usually still feel some of it there, the flavour is amazing and it really is like a body butter for lips, it doesn't just sit on top, it sinks in really well and leaves a smooth creamy feeling on the lips. It's perfect for after exfoliating to replenish the skin. I really do recommend these, I want to get theVanilla Macadamia one too.

Together these two little pots have been leaving my lips beautifully smooth and flake free.

Nude nails are a definite staple for me, I just think they add a "finished" look to any outfit, I always think if my nails are looked after and well painted I look 'proper', I'm not sure if that's normal but c'est la vie, it seems pretty normal to me anywho. I thought I'd give you guys a list of my top 5 nudes, ones that I constantly pull out of the box and use all year round no matter what.

The line up is 1. Ciate Paint Pot in My Fair Lady, 2. Barry M Nail Paint in Baby Pink, 3. Barry M Nail Paint in Pinky Caramel, 4. Models Own Buff Pink and 5. Nails Inc. Basil street. (These are not in order of preference by any means.)

Barry M Nail Paint in Baby Pink

This one is definitely more on the pink side of town, but I always go to it for a quick nude nail as one coat is enough, it is sheer so you don't have to be too precious with it, it dries quickly and gives a gorgeous shiny finish, I love Barry M nail varnishes, I think they are by far my favourite.

Barry M Nail Paint in Pinky Caramel

I love this one because its so opaque, just one decent coat and you are done, this is a light nude colour with the tiniest of gold shimmer (you can only see it in the bottle, I don't notice it on my nails), I find I have to be quite neat with this as it is so opaque so I use this one when I have a bit more time on my hands, it's a lovely 'polished' look, very glamorous, I love it.

Models Own Buff Pink

This is another one on the pink side, but much like the Baby Pink, this is my go to if I'm in a rush, there were a few months last year where this just never actually left my dressing table, again it's sheer so it's quick and easy, extra glossy, slightly more milky pink than the Barry M, so easy for daytime.

Now for the ultimate favourites, both of which I need to repurchase as the bottles are both nearly empty and both the brushes are dreadful now...

Nails Inc. Basil Street

This is a more browny nude shade, more of a winter/evening shade really but I love it any time, it comes out nice and opaque so one coat is enough, lovely and shiny, lasts a good few days, I always get compliments when wearing this, need a new one pronto!

Ciaté Paint Pot in My Fair Lady

I think this was actually a freebie with some magazine a long time ago, and I have fallen head over heels for it, this is my favourite of all the nudes, this is a pure nude, the perfect nude I would say, it's very fair but so is my skin so it matches really well, it goes on smoothly, dries quickly, lasts for days and just looks so pretty and ladylike on the nails.

I'm actually wearing Basil Street today and that is what inspired the post xxx

This is just a quick review on a few of my pore minimising products, the Maybelline Baby Skin, Lancôme Pure Focus T-zone (actually no longer available), Clinique Pore Minimizer and lastly Benefits Porefessional.

I picked these four products as each pair is so similar, firstly there is the gel type products, the Maybelline and the Lancôme, as you can see from the picture they are almost identical (Lancôme on the left, Maybelline on the right) and I would like to state that they also both feel and look the same once on the skin too, they both smooth out the majority of my pores, are lightweight, make my skin feel like velvet and give a nice matte finish. I apply these before my make up as otherwise I find they completely separate my make up and make me patchy. I don't find either of them to work for very long, I would say 4 hours before my oil starts appearing and in my opinion they cannot be reapplied because of the make up separating dilemma. They are however good to be worn alone, or with a fake tan base because the matte effects of these primers won't completely flatten you as you will have your fake tan glow.

Secondly I have the more mousse type formulas, Clinique and Benefit, again almost identical (Clinique on the left, Benefit on the right), these are both a thin airy whipped mousse type consistency, they are both again soft on the skin and do cover the pores, but the problem I find with these mousse type formulas is that (obviously these "pore minimizers" don't actually shrink our pores, they merely fill them so that they are flush with our skins surface to give the illusion that the pores aren't there) as they are ever so slightly tinted, they tend to be more obvious, you can kind of see the gathered up product just sitting in your pores which really isn't great when you are trying to make them LESS noticeable. They both give a very matte finish and I find they also last for around 4 hours, I also notice that this consistency tends to go cakey a lot. I know there are lots of huge fans of the Benefit Porefessional but these are just my thoughts. Oh and by the way these are again products that I recommend using under your make up, even though the packaging says either or.

In conclusion, my personal preference is the gel formula primers, I think they sit better on the skin, they look more natural and they still give a matte finish. I am currently using the Baby Skin by Maybelline the most as it is the newest and therefore the most intriguing.

Hope this was helpful guys.
