These are my current favourites for my current issues (including very dry skin all over, a bad breakout that just won't leave and an extremely blocked nose at night), I have thrown in a couple of make up bits that I seem to be using everyday too.

Firstly the make up, now, to cover up these horrible spots I need some hardcore stuff (trust me) and luckily a couple of my most recent purchases are just that!!! The Dream Satin Liquid foundation by Maybelline (£7.99) is what I would call a medium to full coverage foundation but its build-able so its great for an extra layer over bad areas, it has a slight glow which is great because even though I'm a naturally shiny person, I find that matte foundations, when thickly applied end up looking too obvious, I like to have a slight natural glow. Next is the Maximum Coverage Concealer by Elf (£3.95) which I think is actually like a tube version of the Collection Lasting Perfection, I'm so pleased with the coverage, I like the Lasting Perfection for under my eyes, but this stuff is great for blemishes, so cheap, not greasy or cakes when applied, blends really well and you only need a smidge. Great. Then the Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara by Rimmel (£6.99), I'm totally in love with this, it gives total curl and volume and all in about 3 strokes, the only thing is I end up having to use a seperate mascara for my bottom lashes as the brush is huge, but I love that its a bristle brush and it is rounded at the end which is great so you don't have any accidents. Lastly the blusher, it's a cream blusher by Topshop in the shade Afternoon Tea (£6) which is a cream to powder type (almost!) it's still a bit dewy but I like that, it's the perfect shade for the 'winter rosy cheek' look, one dip with a stippling brush, blend and I'm done.

Next the skin products, totally loving my Lush Fair Trade Foot Lotion (£8.95), its much thinner than another lotion I own which I wasn't very keen on, but it works really well, I just put a layer on after my bath and put my socks over the top so it can all soak it. Then my trusty Bubblegum Lip Scrub by Lush (£5.25) gets all the dead skin off, smells great, tastes nice (it's edible), lasts forever, what more can I ask for, well I can ask for the Popcorn flavour one too, and that's on my 'to buy' list. Lastly the Lip Butter in Caramel Cream by Nivea (£2.25) mmmMMMmmm it smells so nice and it's lovely and thick, it also doesn't leave that white opaque layer all over my lips, like some butters do, it's just so moisturising and such a bargain. Love.

A few random ones, I have been keeping this Olbas Oil for kids (£2.99) in my bag since I bought it, since its winter and you never know when it might be needed, but for like the last week I've had it on my bedside table because I've been getting blocked up when I'm sleeping and it has saved me many nights. The very last thing is the wonderful great magnificent Brush Cleanser by MAC (£10) which I've gotten a little obsessed with, and slightly over used it, so I've decanted half into my empty Chanel bottle to keep on my table and hidden the big bottle in my drawer to stop me using it all. It cleans my brushes in a second, I just pour a bit on a tissue and rub my brush on it until its clean again.

Make up for today

I thought I'd do a quick Make Up post about what I've got on today, and yes I will probably add some disturbing photos of my face so that you can see the results :) Enjoy!

I just used a little blob of this Lancôme Pure Focus Tzone, it's a gel to powder formula designed to be worn alone or over make up to keep the skin matte, however I use this under my make up, as with all these type products, because over never works it just destroys what make up you have already applied.

I then applied the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer around my eyes and on any blemishes, then two pumps of the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation onto my hand and brush that in with my large Airbrush stippling brush by Pout, blending all of the concealer in too.

Then a few dabs of the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer over and outstanding blemishes and I added MACs Paint Pot in Painterly to my eyelids and just almost up to the brow bone.

A few dabs of Seventeen Phwoarr Paint concealer on the remaining dark circles. Then I start to layer the Bourjois Delice De Poudre just under my cheek bones with my blush brush by Real Techniques. I then used my large stippling brush to dab a bit of pink onto my cheeks using Topshop cream to powder Blush in the shade Afternoon Tea (below).

I then use my Setting brush by Real Techniques to apply Rimmels Stay Matte Powder under my eyes, on my inner cheeks and centre of my forehead, then using the same brush I used a small amount of the Bourjois Poudre De Riz highlighting powder on the top of my cheek bones, down the centre of my nose (avoiding the tip of the nose) and on the brown bones after my Benefit High Beam so that it sticks in place all day.

For my eyes I used the MUA palette in Heaven and Earth ( I just chose the light cream colour in the top left for the inner eyes and blended out into the chestnut colour just below it). For mascara I used the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex mascara, which I got free somewhere and is actually amazing!

For my lips I used the wonderfully creamy Cream Puff Lip Cream by Collection, followed by the Sleek Pout Pot in Bare Minimum to add a bit of shine.

I always do my eyebrows last, today I just used the MAC Brow Pencil in Deep Dark Brunette (just seen here) I managed to get my hands on the rihanna version so it pretty and pink :)

On the go make up

So I said I would do a post showing the contents of my make up bag, this is the make up that I take out with me daily (to work, shopping etc) and I use a lot of different stuff for my main morning make up routine, which obviously I do not take out with me. The items in this bag are mainly for touch ups throughout the day because my face tends to melt off gradually as I am always running around and building up a sweat.

For base make up I only carry my concealers (MAC select cover up and Benefit IT stick pencil concealer) and my pressed powder (Chanel Poudre Universelle) because I do a full face of make up before I leave the house so I rarely have to re-apply my foundation, I do however need a concealer for touch ups and a powder because I am oily.

Blush wise I carry MAC mineralise blush in 'Giggly' and for lighter make up days a travel size Benetint by Benefit. I use a bronzed in my morning make up and don't like to be too orange so I leave that at home so I don't end up overdosing.

For eyes I carry my eyeliner (Paul & Joe) I don't use eyeliner that much these days but its good to keep in there just incase, my mascara (Hypnose original in Black by Lancôme), my brow liner (MAC in Deep Dark Brunette) which I swear by- its amazing) and a little travel sized bottle of my highlighter (High Beam by Benefit) which I refill with my full sized bottle.

Lip items I carry consist of one lip balm (in the make up bag, I'm certain there are at least two more always hidden in a side pocket of my bags) which is MAC Lip Conditioner in 'Feelin good' which was a limited colour and believe they only do the original clear one now which is a shame but I still have plenty left in my tub thank God, it's so smooth and smells gorgeous, I really recomend, I also carry my Nars 'Turkish Delight' lipgloss because its easy and goes with everything and lastly I love MAC lipsticks and often chuck a random one in my bag that I've used thAt morning but the staple one that stays in my make up bag is 'Creme Cup' which is such a natural colour and goes really well with my pale skin.

And finally, utensils-wise, I keep a couple of face wipes for emergencies (Eyeko do individually wrapped ones which is pretty handy), a nail file (Ruby & Millie glass one works really well and lasts forever), a pencil sharpener (the one I got free with my Chanel pencil), tweezers (from the Topshop beauty range), a compact mirror (Chanel), some ibuprofen because you never know, a blusher brush (A Guerlain bargain from TKMAXX) and a little sample of Coco Madamoiselle.
