Ruth Crilly Colab Dry Shampoo London (200ml/ £3.49)

Ruth Crilly Colab Dry Shampoo London Extreme Volume (200ml/ £4.49)

I've finally got around to trying the Ruth Crilly Dry Shampoo and here are my thoughts. I chose the London scent for three reasons one it was the most classic scent, two I preferred the black packaging and three it's London. The scent reminds me of the original Batiste dry shampoo but it's slightly more floral and feminine. I have definitely had more use out of the classic as opposed to the Extreme Volume purely because I use it mainly for in between days rather than for styling but I can say neither are sticky or clump hair together in bundles of grey powder, it can go white if you use a lot but I find as long as you shake the can thoroughly it's fine and if not it rubs away much quicker than others I have tried. I really like this dry shampoo, I'm going to be picking up a few of the mini ones too for my handbag. It is also worth noting hat this is usually on offer too which makes its the same price as other brands and it's still a lot cheaper than the 'premium' Haircare brands which don't ever seem to live up to expectations. All round winner.

1. Ren Rosa Centifolia Express Make Up Remover

Just repurchased a new bottle of this, this is a thick cream cleanser which removes every trace of make up, leaves skin feeling ridiculously soft and hydrated without leaving any kind of film on the skin.

2. Korres Jasmine Lip Butter

A soft, sweet smelling balm with a tiny hint of milky pink colour that leaves my lips thoroughly moisturised.

3. Tom Ford Nude Vanille

A very indulgent purchase, but one I would make again, I have got so much use out of this lipstick and the shade is perfect- like nothing I've ever come across.

4. Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

I've been through countless bottles of this amazing stuff, such a light consistency but still amazingly high coverage.

5. Lush Tea Tree Water

A skincare staple of mine, really refreshing and gentle on the skin all the while helping to combat blemishes.

6. Naked Basics Palette

The perfect neutral palette for an easy day look, I prefer this to the Naked 2 Basics and when it eventually disappears I won't hesitate to replace it.

As soon as I saw Caroline Hirons' Instagram about the new Muji Skincare line I knew I'd be taking a trip there at the next possible moment.

The line has been in the making for a long time and has clearly been very thought through, it is all water based and the water is sourced directly from a fresh mountain supply in Japan, they chose this particular place as it has the purest water which takes 10 years to filter down before it is promptly contained so as not to contaminate it

The line consists of cleansers, toners, serums and moisturisers which cater to two skin types primarily, sensitive and aging, the latter being the pricier of the two. I was happy to see that they do a 'light' option for both ranges which is great for those with oily skin.

The range is available in travel size bottles too which are all priced around £1.99, great for a trial run. I picked up some bits from the sensitive range the Face Soap, Moisturising Toning Water Light, Moisturising Lotion Light, All In One Essence and some of their thin cotton buds and u bleached cotton pads (after hearing Viviannadoesmakeup and Tamira Jarrel rave about them countless times).

At the moment the range is exclusive to Selfridges in the UK but I have seen the U.S. site is currently stocking the full range and the Haircare line which I didn't spot in store, I will do a separate post letting you know how I get on with these soon.

Burberry Eye Colour 'Almond' (2.7g/ £23)

I popped into the Burberry Beauty Box with the intention of picking up the famous Pale Barley, but I left with this and it has quickly become my go-to shadow of choice.

The packaging of course is amazing, gunmetal grey with the burberry check embossed on the compact and the product, magnetic closure and a decent sized mirror. This is a gorgeous medium matte brown, very similar in shade to the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder (it looks a little warmer in the picture above) and actually works well as a contour and brow powder too. The powder is extremely fine, highly pigmented and buttery soft, the colour payoff is great and these can be used wet too for an even stronger look. These are very easy to blend and they last all day even without a primer.

I would definitely consider these shadows to be worth the money, I have a lighter shade that didn't work out too well for me but the deeper shades seem to be amazing, still need to pick up that Pale Barley though.

Ren Rosa Centifolia Express Make Up Remover

I used this so much this month that I just had to repurchase, it's so effective but so gentle at the same time, doesn't leave a film on the skin and feels super moisturising.

Tea Tree Water

I recently reintroduced this old favourite, I don't know how I've been without it, it's really refreshing, helps with blemishes and hydrates at the same time.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I've been getting the most use out of this concealer this month, it's such a great all rounder.

Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo

I have used this every single day since I got it, it's so fine and lightweight perfect for the summer months, not the most practical packaging but it's fine once you are used to it.

Mac Buff Blusher

I picked this up last month as a replacement for the Nars Doucer that I could never find and I've been loving it, it's very soft and natural because it's quite sheer on application.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I had been avoiding picking this up because I have naturally oily skin so I usually go for mattifying foundations but I'm really glad I got it in the end, I've been getting loads of use out of it and the coverage is great without looking heavy.

Mac Fleshpot Lipstick

Still a favourite, I love this, this is definitely my new favourite Mac shade, goes so well with everything, ombres really well with my favourite lip liners and looks great with a bit of bronzer.

Colab Dry Shampoo

I picked this up after hearing great things about it, and I've got to agree, I love the scent and it's really lightweight unlike the usual powdery cakey ones.

Burberry Shadow in Almond

I saved the best until last, I have fallen in love with this, it is such a perfect shade, looks good as a light wash or layered for a smokey eye and I can also use it for my brows and contour too.

I've had the same few bits in my bag for the last few months now and I think I'm finally down to the bare essentials for day to day touch ups, here's what I carry around with me on a daily basis.

- A couple of tools, a nail file, mini tweezers, some grips and a spare hair tie.

- Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, mess free application and great coverage.

- Anastasia Brow Wiz, perfect if they need a quick touch up.

- Chanel Les Beiges Powder, layers up without caking and comes with its own brush.

- Korres Jasmine Lip Butter, smells sweet, hydrating and has a soft hint of colour.

- Tom Ford Nude Vanille, a perfect nude that goes with all looks.

- NYX Butter Gloss Creme Brûlée, sweet smelling, not sticky and a nice natural shade.

- Aesop Ressurection Rinse Free Handwash, refreshing and non drying, great for on the go.

- & Other Stories Punk Bouquet Hand Cream, smells gorgeous and is intensly moisturising.

What are your handbag staples?

I had yet another trip to one of my favourite shops the other day and picked up a few new bits I thought I'd share with you guys. I love the whole & Other Stories aesthetic, it's so clean, chic and grown up, it just really appeals to me, I always get inspired when I go there and even when I'm searching the website or Instagram, everything carries the theme all the way through to the packaging and carrier bags.

Anyway I did a couple of repurchases from my favourite bodycare range the "Punk Bouquet" I picked up a new Hand Lotion (250ml/ £5) and a new Body Mist (150ml/ £12), I also picked up another Lip Colour, this one is a Demi matte finish in the shade "Honeycomb Crème" (3.5g/ £12) and lasted I spotted their Brush Cleanser (145ml/ £7) and thought I'd give that a try (I'll be posting a review on that soon).

Have you tried anything from & Other Stories?

Last month I finally got round to popping into the Guru Make Up Emporium in High Street Kensington, I had been wanting to check it out ever since hearing about it on one of Lily Pebbles' vlogs. I have been on the website many times but it's not the most easy to navigate and they are often out of stock of the most popular products and shades. Anyway they stock a couple of hard to get hold of brands such as Make Up Forever and Ben Nye so I picked up my two most wanted, the Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo (£10.95) and the MUFE Full Cover Concealer (£23.50).

It's a pretty small store but it seems well organised and the staff were really polite and helpful, I suggest popping in if you get a chance. Next on my list is the Ben Nye Banana Powder and the MUFE HD Foundation.

Part 2 of my new series, the products I have already, or definitely would repurchase.

1. Chanel Soliel Tan De Chanel

I just repurchased this, this has been my number one bronzer of choice for the last 6 months, it's so natural and you can build it up for night time, it can be used over or under foundation or even on its own, it's very lightweight and although it's pricey I think it's worth it.

2. Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado

Again I have literally just repurchased this one too (I got the smaller pot this time though so I can actually fit it in my Muji drawers (the struggle). This is my eye cream of choice as it's super nourishing but not too heavy or thick with is perfect for my oily skin.

3. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

This is one of my absolute favourites, I'm on my third tube, it's a great multi tasker (pigmentation, blemishes, scars, dark circles all covered with this) and it really is creamy so it blends easily and doesn't cling to any dryness.

4. Vichy Dermablend Foundation

This is hands down the best full coverage foundation that I have tried, a tiny amount will cover whatever you got, the texture is great too light and creamy but with a healthy satin finish so it would work well with every skin type.

5. Garnier Micellar Water

I recently purchased the famous Bioderma for the first time and can honestly say that this does a better job, and doesn't leave my skin feeling stiff like the Bioderma seemed to do, also fantastic value for money and they also do a version for sensitive skin now too.

6. Nails Inc Victoria Beckham Bamboo White

I think I would go as far as to say that this is my favourite nude polish, it's totally opaque after two coats and dries quickly too, it's pricey but I think it's worth it, hopefully it doesn't sell out before I need a new one.
