Review: Body Shop Body Butter

17:55

Today I'm just doing a little review of something I have recently fallen back in love with... The Body Shop Body Butters (£13), the one in question being the Vanilla Bliss Body Butter, which unfortunately was only available for a limited period at Christmas time and is no longer available, but the review is actually generic and goes for all the Body Butters in the range as I have tried a few over the years.

So like I said I have recently fallen for these again, I was first introduced to them by my Nan years and years ago but before Christmas I stumbled across The Body Shop website whilst browsing and they happened to be doing a '50% off everything' offer, so naturally I ordered lots of stuff and became obsessed with all the products again, some of which were new to me and some I had used before, I think I'm going to do a post on my recommendations soon. After Christmas I made a final order and snuck this in there too as it had gone down to only £5 and boy am I glad I did!

My all time favourite 'flavour' of these is the Vitamin E one as I'm obsessed with pretty much the whole range, I have also tried the Moringa and Cocoa Butter.

Anyway, they are packaged in shallow round screw top tubs which I find very practical since sometimes with the taller pots I find you have to delve in a bit too much, they screw up nice and tight so you can keep them for a long time without them going hard or starting to smell a bit stale (if you are someone like me who likes to swap creams all the time then this is perfect).
The consistency is thick and butter like, I have heard that some aren't as thick as others but any that I have tried have all been buttery as opposed to creamy which I love, I feel like its only the thick ones that actually quench the skin.
They are all naturally scented and I don't find them too overpowering at all, there are plenty of scents to choose from so there is something for everyone, from Aloe to Satsuma to Hemp, I want them ALL.
They go on really smoothly, they sink in quickly so there's no waiting before you get into your pyjamas and they don't leave a film or coating on the skin, it just feels lovely and smooth.
The last and loveliest thing about these Butters is that they leave the scent on your skin all day, so you feel fresh out of the shower until you have your next one, seriously if you put this on at night and go to sleep, in the morning you can still smell it all around you, I know this might be annoying if you wanted to put a perfume on or something but with the more bland scents (Aloe, Vitamin E, Shea etc) I love it because I love smelling fresh all over.

Hope you enjoyed the review and I hope it was useful, I really recommend these little pots of joy.
